It’s a mouthwatering line-up at the front of the Monaco grid, with hometown hero Charles Leclerc on pole for Ferrari, McLaren youngster Oscar Piastri alongside him – and not a Red Bull to be seen until row three, where Max Verstappen starts sixth.
The other men ahead of the world champion for lights-out in Monte Carlo will be the second Ferrari of Carlos Sainz, the sister McLaren of Lando Norris – like his team mate’s car, resplendent in a one-off Senna livery – and the leading Mercedes of George Russell.

In the lower half of the grid, the big names out of place are Fernando Alonso down in 14th for Aston Martin, and Red Bull’s Sergio Perez in 16th. And at the very back we have the two Haas cars of Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen after they were disqualified from qualifying for running illegal rear wings.
