Formula 1 rolls on from Singapore to Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix and our Weekend Warm-up crew are here to discuss all the talking points ahead of the action getting under way.
After 15 wins in a row for Red Bull (taking into account last year’s finale in Abu Dhabi) and 10 on the bounce for Max Verstappen, the formidable partnership were finally toppled last time out at Marina Bay.
IT’S RACE WEEK: 5 storylines we’re excited about ahead of the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix
As the F1 paddock assembles at the historic and very different Suzuka circuit, our team ponder whether the reigning world champions will be back to their best, or if the likes of Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes can be in the victory mix once more.
Red Bull also have a clear opportunity to wrap up the constructors’ title for a second successive season this weekend, needing only to outscore Mercedes and avoid being outscored by Ferrari by more than 24 points to seal the deal.
Elsewhere, there is plenty of talk over which drivers will fill the two seats at AlphaTauri for 2024, as Liam Lawson impresses alongside Yuki Tsunoda in Daniel Ricciardo’s absence, while Williams also need to decide whether to stick or twist with Logan Sargeant.
