WATCH: Ride onboard with Verstappen at Silverstone as he takes his fifth straight pole
Slippery conditions, unexpectedly fast teams… but once again, it was Red Bull’s Max Verstappen who took pole position, lapping Silverstone in 1m 26.720s for his 28th career pole – and fifth in a row.
Verstappen’s British Grand Prix pole was Red Bull’s ninth out of 10 this season.

But the smiles would have been tempered at the Milton Keynes team by Sergio Perez’s fifth straight failure to make Q3 – his performance in stark contrast to that produced by the McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who took a shock P2 and P3.
