Max Verstappen appeared to back up predictions that Red Bull would have the edge over championship rivals Mercedes in Mexico City when he went quickest in Friday's second practice session at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
The Dutchman was almost half a second quicker than his nearest challenger Valtteri Bottas, in what is perhaps something of a warning signal to the Silver Arrows that they will have their work cut out to get on terms this weekend.
