With the advantage swinging across the weekend from Red Bull to Mercedes and back again, it was no surprise that tensions were rising in and out of the cockpits in Mexico City. While Max Verstappen emerged as Sunday’s race winner, extending his championship lead in the process, behind it was anything but plain sailing for the rest.
From FP1 to the Grand Prix itself, there was so much action in Mexico City starting with spins for Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez, Lewis Hamilton's traffic woes and a hilarious pitlane moment from Sebastian Vettel.
The drama continued in qualifying: Lance Stroll crashing out of Q1; the Red Bulls tangling in Q3 and Valtteri Bottas taking a shock pole position.
Of course, the airwaves were lit up in the race – Bottas spinning into Turn 1 before his end-of-race battle with Verstappen for fastest lap – from the likes of Perez, Charles Leclerc, and eventual winner Verstappen.
