The Hungarian Grand Prix provided no end of drama, crashes and jaw dropping moments, but how did the drivers react to all the chaos in their cockpits? With Esteban Ocon taking the chequered flag to win for Alpine, some surprise points scorers and frustration aplenty, the airwaves at the Hungaroring were flooded with a variety of emotions…
Ocon’s joy and jubilation were clear as day as he picked up a maiden F1 victory, while the emotions at the start were in direct contrast to the Frenchman’s happiness. Max Verstappen had some choice words to say about his rivals, Sergio Perez managed to keep his message clean but Charles Leclerc was incandescent after being hit in that Lap 1 melee.
Pierre Gasly had an interesting bet going with boss Franz Tost in qualifying, George Russell was willing to sacrifice everything if it meant points for the team and Kimi Raikkonen displayed far more emotion than usual – unfortunately not positive ones after getting a penalty.
