WATCH: Hamilton brings out red flags after crashing during final practice in Abu Dhabi
The third and final practice hour at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was brought to a halt after Lewis Hamilton suffered a crash in the Ferrari.
Lewis Hamilton brought out the red flags during third and final practice at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after a spin saw his Ferrari end up in the barriers at the Yas Marina Circuit.
At just over halfway through the hour, Hamilton was running through Turn 9 when he lost the rear of his SF-25, causing the car to spin off the track and crash into the wall.
“Something buckled at the front and snapped the rear,” Hamilton subsequently reported over the radio.
After walking away from the incident, the seven-time World Champion collected a piece of his broken front wing and left it in the cockpit of his Ferrari before starting to make his way back to the pits.
