Formula 1 has landed at one of the most historic tracks around – Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix. This circuit has witnessed no shortage of on-track drama and, with this year’s race fast approaching, we’ve delved into the archives to look back on five great battles in Japan.

Last year we were also treated to a great tussle between two world champions as Fernando Alonso battled Sebastian Vettel all the way to the line – another duel that makes this list.
