Las Vegas has inspired some of the boldest helmet designs of the season, with drivers unveiling their one-off creations for race week. From playful tributes to full neon flair, every helmet tells its own story, so let's take a look at some of the headgear on show...

Lando’s 150th GP helmet

To mark his 150th Grand Prix, McLaren’s Lando Norris unveiled “Art in Motion,” a hand-painted 3D helmet created in collaboration with artist Werner Bronkhorst. Unveiled at his LN × WB concept pop-up in Las Vegas on Tuesday, the piece blends vivid colour, raised textures and plenty of personal nods to some of Lando’s biggest moments in F1, turning it into an eye-catching visual timeline of his journey so far.

The lid features miniature depictions of Norris after his first podium at Austria in 2020, his maiden win at Miami in 2024, and his first home win in this year’s British Grand Prix.

Oscar’s nod to his RC days

Oscar Piastri brings his own twist to the Las Vegas helmet trend with a design inspired by his earliest racing memories, paying tribute to the remote control car that earned him a national title in 2010.

It was the first thing he ever drove – the small but significant stepping stone that led him into karting and eventually paved his path to Formula 1.

The bold helmet mirrors the colours and details of that original RC livery, making it a nostalgic and personal tribute to where his journey began. So, why debut it in Vegas? Piastri pointed out that this week marks exactly 15 years since that fated national title, making this weekend a fitting race to celebrate the very start of his motorsport success as he continues to fight for the title.

A helmet of two halves for Esteban

With Hollywood only a couple of hours from the Las Vegas Strip, Esteban Ocon proved he understood the assignment with his special edition helmet for the Vegas. As one of Haas’ home races – and with Marvel’s roots firmly tied to the US – Ocon leaned fully into the theme.

Famously a fan of all things superhero, with his 2023 Deadpool and 2024 Captain America designs proving popular, the Frenchman let his spidey senses guide him to a bold, split design. One half features the infamous Spider-Man print – the other transformed into the inky, sharp-edged look of Venom. No doubt the Haas driver will be wanting to put on a superhuman performance at their home Grand Prix this weekend too!
