Pirelli have released details of each driver’s tyre selections for the Grand Prix in Hungary next weekend, and the emphasis is very much on the supersoft compound for the Budapest race.
Drivers are permitted 13 sets of dry tyres for the Hungaroring event, split between the white-marked medium compound, the yellow-marked soft and the red-marked supersoft.
All but two drivers have chosen at least nine sets of the quickest, supersoft rubber, the exceptions being Haas’s Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen, both with eight.
Only one team has drivers with differing compound selections – at Red Bull, Daniel Ricciardo has been slightly more conservative than Max Verstappen, selecting one fewer sets of supersofts.
