Max Verstappen only just managed to cling onto the lead of the Miami Grand Prix from pole position as he came under immense pressure from Lando Norris and Kimi Antonelli.
It was a chaotic start to the 57-lap race, with the Red Bull driver appearing to get a strong launch at lights out. However, as he charged down the short run to Turn 1, he locked up on the low-grip surface which encouraged Norris to try and sweep round to take the lead.

As Verstappen returned to the racing line, the Briton veered off the track and dropped from P2 to P6, leaving Antonelli as the next competitor to challenge for control of the opening lap.
Despite his best efforts, the Mercedes youngster was unable to pass Verstappen and quickly had the second McLaren of Oscar Piastri in his mirrors, but he managed to hold onto P2 on the first lap.
Elsewhere, Jack Doohan reported sustaining a puncture and was later shown colliding with Racing Bull's Liam Lawson in an intense battle.
