Monaco often springs surprises on a Saturday and this year was no different, producing a front row few had predicted – championship leader Kimi Antonelli on pole for Mercedes, fractionally ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.
Pre-weekend favourites Ferrari had to settle for locking out the second row, with Lewis Hamilton leading Monagasque team mate Charles Leclerc, who swiped the barriers of his home circuit during his final Qualifying effort.
On row three is the second Red Bull of Isack Hadjar and George Russell in the Mercedes. The McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris make up the fourth row, while completing the top 10 are Alpine’s Pierre Gasly and Liam Lawson for Racing Bulls.
