MUST-SEE: Ride along with Hamilton as he drives Senna’s title-winning McLaren
Lewis Hamilton was treated to a chance to fulfil his childhood dreams across the Sao Paulo Grand Prix weekend, climbing behind the wheel of the McLaren MP4/5B raced by his hero Ayrton Senna and heading out onto the Interlagos circuit.
Senna raced the MP4/5B during his title-winning 1990 season, one year before claiming his breakthrough home victory at Interlagos – a victory which caused emotional scenes, as an exhausted Senna sent the Brazilian crowd into raptures.
Hamilton did something similar on Sunday in Brazil, with a stirring run in the V10-engined car – the seven-time champion and honorary citizen of the country even taking a Brazilian flag from a marshal and brandishing it to the crowd at one point.
