Mercedes junior Luna Fluxa Cross to make F1 ACADEMY debut as Las Vegas Wild Card

Luna Fluxa Cross will make her F1 ACADEMY debut as the Wild Card entry for the 2026 season finale in Las Vegas.

F1 ACADEMY have announced that Luna Fluxa Cross will make her series debut as the Wild Card entry for the 2026 season finale in Las Vegas.

The 16-year-old became the first female driver to join the Mercedes-AMG F1 Junior Programme back in 2022. Two years later, she was selected as an F1 ACADEMY DISCOVER YOUR DRIVE karter for the Champions of the Future Academy Program.

She made history by securing the OK-N Senior title, taking six victories and claiming the honours 125 points ahead of her nearest rival. As a result, Fluxa Cross became the first woman to win an FIA international championship since Susanna ‘Susy’ Raganelli won the World Karting Championship in 1966.

This season saw the Spanish racer progress into single-seaters. Fluxa Cross brought home a maiden podium in the Eurocup-4 Spanish Winter Championship before contesting a full season in the F4 Spanish Championship.

Additionally, she was selected to participate in this year’s F1 ACADEMY Rookie Test at the Circuito de Navarra, finishing sixth in both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Fluxa Cross will get behind the wheel of the #10 Visit Las Vegas car operated by Hitech for the sixth and final round of the campaign.

“I’m incredibly excited to announce that I’ll be joining the F1 ACADEMY grid as a Wild Card entry in Las Vegas!” Fluxa Cross remarked.

“It’s an amazing opportunity and a very special experience that I’m looking forward to. I can’t wait to get out on track and make the most out of the weekend.”
