Max Verstappen returned to familiar territory as he topped the timesheets during final practice at the Canadian Grand Prix. The weather dominated the session as drivers were forced to navigate the wet conditions on track, with Carlos Sainz crashing out at Turn 1 to temporarily halt proceedings.

The likes of Yuki Tsunoda had a close call on two occasions thanks to spins on the track as drivers battled with the conditions.
