Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton headed into a crucial qualifying session for the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with his head held highest, after topping Free Practice 3 on Saturday afternoon at Yas Marina.
Having led FP2 on Friday evening, Hamilton topped the timesheets in FP3 with a 1m 23.274s, making him favourite for the evening’s crucial qualifying session – with Hamilton duelling with Max Verstappen this weekend to see which of them becomes 2021 champion.
As for Verstappen, the Dutchman tucked into P2, two-tenths off his rival, giving him hope that he’ll be in the running for qualifying too.
