Four finalists selected for ‘FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars’ shoot-out

The four finalists in the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars competition have been selected, with the ultimate winner set to be in with a chance of receiving a contract for a full season of FIA Formula 4 in 2021 funded by the Ferrari Driver Academy.
Launched in June by the FIA and the Ferrari Driver Academy, the Girls on Track – Rising Stars programme’s goal is to help promote the best female junior racing talent, with all the drivers in the competition aged between 12 and 16.

Following the programme’s final three-day training camp at the Circuit Paul Ricard – which saw eight drivers take to the French track in F4 machinery, measuring themselves against a benchmark lap time set by Charles Leclerc’s Formula Regional European Championship racing brother Arthur – the four finalists have now been selected:
- Julia Ayoub
- Antonella Bassani
- Doriane Pin
- Maya Weug
Those four drivers will now attend a final training and assessment programme, due to be held at the Ferrari Driver Academy headquarters in Maranello, Italy, after which one of the racers could be offered a contract for a fully-funded season of FIA Formula 4 racing.
