FORMULA 3: Daruvala takes Race 1 victory in France

Jehan Daruvala made it back-to-back race wins and three victories in a row for PREMA, to take took control of the FIA Formula 3 Championship with a composed performance in Race 1, at the Circuit Paul Ricard.
There was heartbreak for poleman Jake Hughes, whose emotions got the better of him during a battle with Marcus Armstrong. The British driver had already lost P1 to the Force India protégé when a wobble saw him beaten by the Kiwi, as well as Robert Shwartzman.
The HWA RACELAB man’s attempts to recover a podium place ended with an all too risky move on the chicane and he would subsequently clatter into the back of Armstrong and plummet to the back of the grid. While, Armstrong dropped down to fifth.
This left first and second placed PREMA Duo Daruvala and Shwartzman with an easy run to the chequered flag, and pushed Pedro Piquet up to third place.
