Force India sit out second practice after Perez crash
Force India will not take part in Friday afternoon’s second practice at the Hungaroring as the team continue to investigate the suspension problem that caused Sergio Perez to crash in the morning session.
Perez escaped unharmed after his car rolled in dramatic fashion late in FP2 following the failure at the rear of his VJM08. The Mexican’s car suffered significant damage to the bodywork, wings and floor, and repairs are ongoing.
As a precaution, the team have chosen not to run Nico Hulkenberg this afternoon as they work to fully understand the cause of the failure and find a resolution ahead of Saturday’s final free practice session.
