F1 ACADEMY: Pulling edges out Weug and Pin to secure double pole in Singapore

Abbi Pulling was unstoppable on the streets of Singapore, as the Alpine driver went from strength-to-strength to beat Ferrari’s Maya Weug and Mercedes’ Doriane Pin for both pole positions.
The trio traded times throughout the session, but it was Pulling’s 2:03.631 that put her top of the timing sheets with five minutes to go.
Weug pipped her PREMA Racing teammate for second on the grid for Race 1 by 0.027s, but Pin repaid the favour, securing the front row spot alongside Pulling for Race 2.
Lia Block saved her best for last and earned two personal best Qualifying results, as the Williams driver lines up fourth for both races.
For Race 1, Hamda Al Qubaisi will start from fifth followed by the Campos Racing pair of Chloe Chambers and Nerea Martí. Wild Card Ella Lloyd put on an impressive performance to seal eighth ahead of Bianca Bustamante and Carrie Schreiner.
