BEYOND THE GRID: Red Bull's legendary designer Adrian Newey on the secrets behind his immense success

On this week’s episode of F1’s Beyond The Grid podcast, presented by Paramount+, Tom Clarkson is joined by one of the greatest Formula 1 designers of all-time, and one of the key figures behind Red Bull winning their sixth constructors’ title this year: Adrian Newey.
In a career that has spanned over 40 years and seen him work at Williams, McLaren, and now Red Bull Racing, Newey has been a part of 12 constructors’ titles, with seven different drivers becoming world champions in one of his cars.
Newey joins Clarkson to reflect on his career to date, as he reveals how his passion for designing began, where his competitive nature comes from, and why he believes he has had so much success over the years.
Newey also talks about the 2023 season with Red Bull, taking us through the design process of the championship-winning RB19 and why he believes the car has been so dominant, especially in the hands of two-time world champion Max Verstappen.
He continues to reflect on the 2023 season, with Red Bull having obliterated the opposition – winning 15 of the first 16 races so far this year – and he reveals where he believes they hold the advantage over their rivals.
