BETTING GUIDE: Who are the favourites as F1 moves on to Hungary?
Check out all of the odds for this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix, from the favourite to grab pole position to who might claim victory.

Formula 1 makes the trip from Spa-Francorchamps to the Hungaroring for this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix, marking the final race before the sport’s summer break. But who are the favourites to end the first part of the season on a high? Here are what the odds tell us...
Odds are provided by F1's Official Betting Data Supplier ALT Sports Data, are subject to change and are presented in decimal form: for every $1 wagered you would win the figure represented by the odds; so, if Verstappen is favourite at 1.50, you would win $1.50 for every dollar bet.
The odds for the win
The McLaren duo have barely put a foot wrong this season, accumulating 10 victories between them in 13 races. Oscar Piastri tops the count with six, followed by Lando Norris on four. The Australian holds the added advantage of triumphing at this circuit 12 months ago, handing the papaya team their first victory since 2012 at this track.
Charles Leclerc will touch down in Mogyoród after securing his fourth top-three in his last six starts. He hasn't looked like a threat to the McLaren drivers all season, but the Monegasque is starting to find the consistency that eluded him in the earlier part of the campaign.
Two-time Hungarian GP winner Max Verstappen can't be written off, with two victories under his belt this year. However, his Red Bull is still struggling with downforce and stability issues, along with a lack of pace on slicks.

The odds for a podium finish
The McLaren drivers have only missed spraying champagne twice this year. They own 22 podiums between them and are heavily favoured to replicate their success here. Verstappen starts with short odds to stand on the platform, but he's far from guaranteed a top-three performance.
The Dutchman is in a tie with Leclerc and George Russell on five podiums. Russell last participated in the post-race celebrations in Canada, while his Ferrari rival has featured in three across his last five appearances.
Nico Hulkenberg and Kimi Antonelli are the only other drivers in the field to cross the line in a podium place this term. The veteran doesn't appear to have the car to consistently challenge the top three, while the Italian rookie has faced a tough run of late. He enters off the back of two DNFs and a 16th-place return, highlighting his struggles post his maiden podium in Canada.

The odds for a top-six finish
Eight-time Hungarian Grand Prix winner Lewis Hamilton returns to a venue where he's podiumed seven times in his last nine visits. However, he's yet to stand on the rostrum in 2025, but the Briton has proven to be a regular top-six finisher, with seven to his name.
Hamilton just missed out on the feat last weekend, but had an impressive race after starting from the pit lane and moving up 11 places.
Popular Williams driver Alex Albon snatched his fourth first-six finish of the season in Belgium, making him an outsider but still a contender to pull it off this weekend. German veteran Hulkenberg starts after earning two top sixes in his last five starts, including a podium at Silverstone.

The odds for a top-10 finish
Two of the older drivers in the field boast an impressive record of four top 10s in their last five starts. Fernando Alonso and Hulkenberg endured a tough Sunday in Belgium, dropping outside of the top 10, but the two have averaged below the threshold since Barcelona.
On the opposite end of the age spectrum, we find two noteworthy rookies in Liam Lawson and Gabriel Bortoleto. They line up this weekend after crossing inside the top 10 twice in the previous three rounds.
Alpine had reason to smile at Spa, after Pierre Gasly handed the team only their 20th point of the season, just the third weekend this year that the team have scored. The Grand Prix also marked the third time in five races that Gasly finished within the top 10.

The odds for who will be fastest in Qualifying
Since 2015, only two drivers have won the Hungarian Grand Prix starting from pole. One of them is on the grid this weekend, in the form of Hamilton. However, the Ferrari driver doesn't feature in the mix for the fastest qualifier race, which is instead dominated by McLaren.
The Woking-based outfit have put a driver at the front of the grid in eight out of the 12 races, and their current pace marks them as favourites to do so again this weekend. Norris and Piastri are tied for the most poles in the championship with four apiece, followed by Verstappen on three.
