'An amazing feeling' – Hamilton hoping to 'make the most' of Ferrari's strong Qualifying for Mexico City Grand Prix
Third place on the grid puts Lewis Hamilton in a strong position for the start of Sunday's Mexico City Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton believes that "P3 is kind of the perfect spot at this track" to challenge for the lead at the start of the Mexico City Grand Prix after his best Saturday Qualifying performance since joining Ferrari.
The seven-time World Champion finished third quickest at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit, just over three-tenths slower than polesitter Lando Norris and less than one-tenth behind Ferrari team mate Charles Leclerc.
It marked Hamilton's best Qualifying performance for a Grand Prix since he joined the Scuderia at the start of 2025, having also started from pole and taken victory in the China Sprint.
"I'm honoured to be up here with Charles and Lando, these guys have been so quick all year and it's an amazing feeling," said Hamilton.
"This is the first time we've both been up in the top three in Qualifying this year and the team truly deserve it. We're just working as hard as we can, super grateful to everyone in the team for continuing to push and not give up.
"We've not really moved the car forward necessarily in development but we've extracted more from it, our processes are better this weekend and that's what you're seeing."
Hamilton will be aiming for his maiden Grand Prix podium for Ferrari in Sunday's 71-lap race, having taken the unwanted record last time out in the US of the most starts for the team without a rostrum finish.
With Mexico also providing the longest run off the line to the braking zone at Turn 1 of the season, Hamilton believes there's every chance of using the slipstream to gain positions at the start of Sunday's race.
"It's hard to obviously beat these two guys today but P3 is kind of the perfect spot at this track, so I'm hoping I can make the most of that at the start and I think our race pace is not too bad," he said.
"I think it's difficult to know really but I'm really hoping with this crowd... I know it's going to be an amazing crowd tomorrow so we'll try and give them a good race."
